More Rainlilies!

Aren't they pretty!  I like the peachy color of this one, and it bloomed a little later than the pink.  I tricked it with the water hose--that doesn't always work....but we STILL haven't had any rain!

Rainliles are always a nice surprise!

Just walk outside a couple of days after a summer rain and WOW,  these cheerful rainlilies will surprise you with beautiful blooms!

In the winter they may be evergreen, or they may disappear, depending upon the variety, and the rest of the time their grass-like foliage is pleasant in the landscape.  But then after a summer rain, you will notice these little lilies sending up buds like this:

Followed by gorgeous blooms:

And they come in various colors to light up your garden!
